CONTEST RULES

PRIDE & JOY PODIUM PURSUIT (“Contest”)

from 9:00AM EST on July 1, 2016 to 11:59PM EST on August 4, 2016 (“Pre-Games Contest Period”)

and

from 6:00PM EST on August 5, 2016 to 10:00PM EST on August 21, 2016 (“Games Contest Period”)

1. HOW TO ENTER

No purchase required. To enter the Contest, visit the PRIDE & JOY PODIUM PURSUIT contest page within the CBC Rio 2016 Olympic website at www.cbc.ca/olympics (“the Website”) OR the CBC Rio 2016 Olympic App (“the App”) during either the Pre-Games Contest Period OR theGames Contest Period.

Register to play the PRIDE & JOY PODIUM PURSUIT game (the “Game”) at the Website or the App by providing your name and the requested contact information, and correctly answering a skill-testing question. The Game consists of a set of quiz style questions to be answered by the player, at the end of which the player’s score is revealed (each a “Quiz”).

The Contest consists of two contest periods, the Pre-Games Contest Period where registered users who have correctly answered the skill-testing question (each a “Registrant”) will have the opportunity to play the Game to be entered into the weekly prize draws and the Games Contest Period where Registrants will have the opportunity to play the Game to be entered into the daily prize draws, subject to eligibility.

Pre-Games Contest Period:

The following prize draws will take place during the Pre-Games Contest Period:

Pre-Games Contest Draw:

Pre-Games Contest Draws occur on a weekly basis during the Pre-Games Contest Period. To be eligible, Registrants must complete the weekly Quiz any time between Friday at 9:00AM EST and ending Thursday at 11:59PM EST each week from July 1, 2016 to August 4, 2016. Registrants who have completed the weekly Quiz by Thursday at 11:59PM EST each week from July 1, 2016 to August 4, 2016 are automatically entered into the weekly Pre-Games Contest Draw on the week the Quiz was completed, for a chance to win a Pre-Games Contest Draw Prize.

Limit of one entry per person per week during the Pre-Games Contest Period. If you attempt or are suspected of attempting to enter more than once per day or use robotic, automatic, programmed or any entry methods not authorized by these rules, it shall be deemed as tampering and will void your entries.

Games Contest Period:

The following prize draws will take place during the Games Contest Period:

Daily Bonus Draw: To be eligible for the Daily Bonus Draw, Registrants must complete the daily Quiz between 6:00PM EST – 10:00PM EST any day from August 6, 2016 to August 21, 2016. Registrants who have completed the daily Quiz will be automatically entered in the Daily Bonus Draw for a chance to win a Daily Bonus Draw Prize that day. Each daily Quiz entry is only eligible for a Daily Bonus Draw Prize on the day the Quiz is completed.

Opening and Closing Ceremony Draws: All Registrants who have registered on or before 10:00PM EST on each of August 5, 2016 and August 21, 2016 (respectively, the “Opening and Closing Ceremony Days”), regardless of whether they have completed a Quiz, will be automatically entered into the Opening and Closing Ceremony Draw for a chance to win an Opening or Closing Ceremony Prize.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Draw: To be eligible for the Gold, Silver and Bronze Prize Draw, Registrants must complete the daily Quiz between 6:00PM EST – 10:00PM EST any day from August 6, 2016 to August 21, 2016 and have received a perfect score or the next highest score of the Quiz that day. Registrants who have completed the daily Quiz and received a perfect score or the next highest score of the Quiz that day will be automatically entered into the Gold, Silver and Bronze Draw for that day for a chance to win a Gold, Silver or Bronze Prize Pack. The first Registrant selected from the eligible entries will win a Gold Prize Pack, the second will win a Silver Prize Pack, the third will win a Bronze Prize Pack. Each Quiz entry is only eligible to be entered to win a Gold, Silver and Bronze Prize Pack on the day it is completed.

Limit of one entry per person per day during the Games Contest Period. One entry may be eligible for more than one draw (i.e. the Daily Bonus Draw and the Gold, Silver and Bronze Draw). 2. ELIGIBILITY

Contest is open to all Canadian residents. For any contestant who has not reached the age of majority, parent or guardian consent is necessary to enter the Contest.

Pre-Games Contest Period. Subject to meeting all the conditions described in these rules, to be eligible for a prize and declared a winner, during the Pre-Games Contest Period, contestants must be a Registrant and must have completed the weekly Quiz by 11:59PM EST each Thursday between July 1, 2016 and August 4, 2016. Contestants must also have correctly answered the mandatory mathematical skill-testing question during registration for the Contest and have agreed to the release set out herein.

Games Contest Period. Subject to meeting all the conditions described in these rules, to be eligible for a prize and declared a winner, during the Games Contest Period, contestant must be a Registrant and must have completed the quiz by 10:00PM EST every evening from August 6, 2016 to August 21, 2016. Contestants must also have correctly answered the mandatory mathematical skill-testing question during registration for the Contest and have agreed to the release set out herein.

3. PROCEDURE FOR AWARDING PRIZES

Random draws will be made each week during the Pre-Games Contest Period on Friday between 12:00AM and 8:59AM and each day during the Games Contest Period at 10:01PM EST (or shortly thereafter) from among eligible entries.

Pre-Games Contest Draw

5 prize packs available to be won each week (25 total) awarded in draw from pool of eligible entries, each Friday between 12:00AM EST and 8:59AM EST during the Pre-Games Contest Period.

Opening and Closing Ceremony Draws

1 draw on each of Opening and Closing Ceremony Days, with 75 prize packs available to be awarded each Opening and Closing Ceremony Day in draw from pool of eligible entries, to be awarded after 10:01PM EST on each Opening and Closing Ceremony Day (150 total).

Daily Bonus Draw:

1 draw per game day with 10 prizes available to be won each day (160 total) in draw from pool of all eligible entries, to be awarded after 10:01PM EST that day.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Draw:

1 draw per game day with 1 Bronze Prize, 1 Silver Prize and 1 Gold Prize available to be won each day (48 total) in draw from pool of eligible entries, to be awarded after 10:01PM EST that day.

Awarding of Prize:

Pre-Game Contest Period: Prize winners (each a “winner”) will be contacted by email and announced via the Website and the App immediately following the draw.

Games Contest Period: Winners will be contacted by email and announced within the Website, App and CBC broadcast daily between 10:01PM and 11:00PM EST, except for Opening and Closing Ceremony winners who will be announced via email only.

Winners should claim their prize no later than 14 days after the date they are initially contacted by CBC via email, by providing the information requested in the email, including current mailing address. If a winner does not claim their prize within 14 days following the first attempt of contact or declines the prize, the prize shall be forfeited and CBC has the right, at its sole discretion, to select another winner.

Upon claiming the prize, please allow 4-6 weeks for prize to be delivered to address indicated.

5. GENERAL RULES

5.1. To be eligible to be declared a winner, the selected contestant must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question upon registration.

5.2. Each Registrant shall upon registration declare their eligibility as stipulated in these rules and agree to release CBC and Mondelez as well as their respective directors, officers and employees (the “Contest Parties”) from all liability for any damage or loss arising from participation in this Contest or from the awarding, acceptance or use of a prize. In agreeing to this Release, the Registrant agrees as follows:

  1. Registrant has read and agrees to the Contest rules and has complied with them and meets all the conditions of eligibility laid down in the Contest rules. Registrant is/was was the age of majority or older in the province or territory where he/she resides at the time he/she entered the Contest.
  2. Subject to the accuracy of the answer given to the mathematical skill-testing question, if Registrant is the winner of a prize, Registrant accepts the prize(s) stated in their email from CBC.
  3. Registrant consents to the use of his/her name, city and province of residence by CBC, Sponsors, and their affiliates, licensees and agents for advertising or other purposes in connection with this Contest, free of charge. Registrant consents to CBC and Sponsors providing his/her name and contact information to such third party affiliates, licensees and agents.

5.3. The prize shall be accepted as is and may not be exchanged or refunded for an amount of money, sold or transferred. No substitutions will be allowed. Any unused portion of a prize will be forfeited.

5.4. If the prize cannot be awarded as described in these rules, the Contest Parties reserve the right to substitute a prize or prize component with another of comparable value, as determined in their sole discretion.

5.5. Refusal to accept the prize releases the Contest Parties from any obligation toward the winner.

5.6. If a contestant makes any false statement, (s)he will be automatically disqualified from the Contest.

5.7. The Contest Parties assume no liability for any loss, damage or injury, including without limitation: (i) lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late, destroyed, illegible or incomplete entries; (ii) loss, theft or damage to software or computer or telephone data, including any breach of privacy; (iii) fraudulent calls; (iv) inability of any person to participate in the Contest for any reason including mistaken addresses on mail or e-mail; technical, computer or telephone malfunctions or other problems with computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, or software; congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination of the foregoing; (v) damage to any person’s computer, including as a result of playing or downloading any material relating to the Contest; (vi) any delay or inability to act resulting from an event or situation beyond their control, including a strike, lockout or other labour dispute at their location or the locations of the organizations and businesses whose services are used to administer this Contest; or (vii) prizes that are lost, damaged or misdirected during shipping.

5.8. CBC reserves the right to cancel or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, CBC reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

5.9. All personal information, such as name and contact information, is collected by CBC solely for the purposes of administering this Contest and shall not be used for any other purpose without your express consent. By providing this information, you consent to it being used for the stated purposes. Please see CBC’s privacy policy at http://www.cbc.ca/aboutcbc/discover/privacy.html.

5.10. If the identity of a contestant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the contestant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected contestant may be required to provide proof that (s)he is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server.

5.11. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, using any robotic, automatic programmed method that artificially increases the odds of winning or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by the CBC. CBC is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest.

5.12. CBC reserves the right to amend the Contest rules or to terminate the Contest at any time without any liability to any contestant. Any amendments to these Contest rules will be posted on the “Website”.

5.13. By entering, you agree to abide by the Contest rules and the decisions of CBC which decisions are final and binding on all contestants.

5.14. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by VISA. By entering, you completely release VISA from all liability in connection with this Contest. You are providing your information to CBC and/or the Sponsor, as indicated at the point of collection, and not to VISA. Any questions or concerns regarding the Contest should be directed to CBC and not to VISA.
